Balade à Paris Portant une Echarpe
My dear friend Deborah gave me this scarf for my birthday. It’s a gigantic map of Paris. I love it. It has become my ‘Ningaminny,’ a word my older brother invented when he was two, dragging his ‘blanky’ behind him, sucking his thumb.
What I love is that the scarf shows my address when I was a student in Paris in 1952, 66 Avenue de Saxe. The Pasteur statue was just a little way from our apartment.
What great memories!
Ton 80-ieme anniversiare!! : )
I thought I’d lost you by clicking wrong thing! You are my first!! The map has EVERY street on it…so it was fun to find Ave. de Saxe. I do remember us going to spot it!!
Yes I have the same scarf for maybe 6 years and I have never worn it! But I do love it.
I wish my French was like yours…
I thought I had replied, but maybe not…still trying to get the hang of this blog. I wish my blog was anywhere near as
marvelous as yours!
